Based upon my relative Reginald Hunt, and his uncensored letter depicting his first engagement during WW1. Guided by his words, the audience retreads his footsteps during the Battle of Mount Sorrel. Where decimated charges and endless shelling, led to nearly 90% of some regiments being killed or injured. Through innovative use of digital technology, the video game aims to communicate and immerse today’s audiences within the experiences of WW1. As well as subvert people’s perceptions and expectations of video games, that instead of being experiences which commercialise and glorify conflict, they could be used to meaningfully communicate and explore conflict.
